Young People aged 16-18 years:

The Scotland-Wide Concessionary Travel Scheme for Young People started on 8 January 2007. It will allow all 16-18 year olds and young full-time volunteers up to the age of 25 concessionary travel on buses, rail and ferries. The Scheme provides a third off bus and rail travel.
You are eligible from your 16th birthday until your 19th birthday. Full-time volunteers (30+ hours a week) aged between 19 and 25 (up to your 26th birthday) who meet the criteria for Project Scotland are also eligible for concessionary travel scheme. You must also be a resident of Scotland.

Scotland-Wide Free Bus Travel for Older and Disabled People |

Scotland-Wide Free Bus Travel started on 1st April 2006 and allows anyone aged 60 and over, and eligible disabled people, to travel free on both local registered bus services and long-distance bus services within Scotland, without any peak-time restrictions.
The new National Entitlement Card replaces the current local concession card but will still offer you all the benefits you currently enjoy within the Local Authority area. |
| Do I qualify for the transport concession? |
If you are 60 or over and live in Scotland then you will qualify for the Scotland-Wide Free Bus Travel Scheme.
If you of fare-paying age but have a disability you may also qualify if you are in receipt of the higher or middle rate of Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, War Pensioners Mobility Supplement or a Disabled Parking Badge. Other people who qualify include those who are visually impaired, are profoundly or severely deaf, have mental health issues or either have been, or would be, refused a driving licence on medical grounds (other than drug or alcohol misuse).

| How do I apply for a National Entitlement Card? |
You can apply for the Scotland-Wide Free Bus Travel Scheme through your Local Authority, Dundee City Council, or the Post Office.
- If you are over 60, complete form LS304 (available from Dundee City Council or the Post Office)
- If you are disabled, complete form NCT001 (available from Dundee City Council or the Social Work Department)
You will need to provide a recent passport-type colour photograph (taken within the last year), current documentary evidence of your age or disability and proof of current residency in Scotland. Transport Scotland is responsible for running the national concessionary travel scheme which has provided FREE bus travel throughout Scotland for many older and disabled people since April 2006.
